Dr. Siavash LITKOUHI
BSc, PhD (Civil and Geotechnical Engineering)
Dr. Litkouhi is the Chairman and founding partner of SES, a company he formed in 1982. He has over 40 years’ of experience in a broad range of geotechnical engineering areas such as geotechnical investigation, dam grouting, slope stability and ground improvement. He obtained his PhD degree from Queens Mary College of London in 1979 , his research studied the pile behavior for fixed off-shore platform in North Sea.
Dr. Litkouhi has undertaken geotechnical studies for over 200 dam projects in Iran. Under his leadership, the firm has successfully completed many dam grouting projects including watertightening of Maroun Dam which is known for its challenging karstic rock formation. His background has led him to become a member of Iranian committee on Large Dams and Iranian Geotechnical Society. In 2006 he was officially honored as prominent figure in dam construction in Iran.
From late 80s’ he expanded the firm to become a pioneer in design and construction of various ground improvement techniques and stabilization methods for deep excavations. Many large scale ground improvement projects have been successfully completed under his supervision. He is currently a president of Iranian Ground Improvement committee.
Bahram AMINI
BSc, DipTechSc, MBA, DBA (Candidate)
As a civil engineer with post graduate qualifications in structural engineering as well as management, Amini has been working with contractors and consultants since 1976. He gained extensive experience in design and construction of ports and marine structures before joining the firm in 1982. Thereafter, in various capacities, as chairman of the Board of Directors or Managing Director, he has directed and supervised a tremendous variety of geotechnical engineering projects, some of them using ground improvement techniques. For the last 10 years his interest has been in deep excavations in urban areas and ground modification by vibrotechnique. He is a member of the Iranian Institution of structural Engineers, National Society of Executive Managers, Iranian committee on Large Dams and also the Iranian Geotechnical Society of which he was president for two terms during 1996-2004. He is president of the Iranian Society of Consulting Engineers for the term starting in 2019.
Dr. Farzad ABEDZADEH
BS, MS, PhD
Abedzadeh, Civil engineer and doctor of geotechnical engineering, has over 30 years’ of experience in detailed numerical modeling, earthquake engineering, and soil liquefaction and grouting operation. He has had responsibility for various projects of the firm since 1982. While directing various projects, he has concentrated on injection grouting works both for alluvium and rock foundations. He is a member of the Iranian Institution of Structural Engineers, Iranian Committee on Large Dams and Iranian Geotechnical Society. Recent activity is mainly concentrated on dam rehabilitation. He is a member of dam rehabilitation team in the USA responsible for numerical studies of many large dams.
