History

Founded in 1983, geotechnical engineering was a pioneering profession. Seeing its value, Dr. Litkouhi decided to start the business with Mr. Amini after completing his PhD at Queens University of London.

The first five years, SES was mainly involved in geotechnical consulting activities, bringing innovation and insight to projects throughout Iran. During these years 130 geotechnical investigation and design works were submitted to various clients.

By the end of 1980s, SES released the need to introduce some of the world’s latest geotechnical construction techniques. We spent the following decades developing, designing and executing ground improvement techniques, among which are grouting, dynamic compaction, jet grouting, deep soil mixing, vibro compaction, stone columns, anchors and barrier walls.

In 2016, SES ventured into Central Asia region, our offices in Dushanbe and Rogun were opened and are active.

Now, more than 35 years after it began, SES has one of the most competent specialist geotechnical teams in the region. We have completed well above 1000 geotechnical investigation projects, 1.5 million meter of drilling and 160 ground improvement projects.
